General Job Description

This position is responsible for management and administration of Marah's Permanent Housing Program day to day operations including: development and implementation of participant-centered planning, management of program evaluation and achievement of performance outcomes, development and management of program budget and finances, development and supervision of assigned staff.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Residential Services Director in Completion of Marah's permanent housing program reports and coordinate program audits (including HUD, CDHS, etc.)

Monitor Marah's permanent housing program activities for quality assurance and compliance with agency and funding guidelines

Oversee and manage the program in accordance with the fair housing laws

Work with appropriate staff and tenants to plan, develop and implement Marah's permanent housing programming

Coordinate Continuous Improvement efforts in the Marah's program and implement programming that leads to meeting prescribed performance outcomes.

Work with appropriate staff and tenants to implement and maintain effective data collection, reporting and evaluation of Marah's permanent housing

Manage tenant leases and certify tenants for Marah's permanent housing

Maintain ongoing communication with Marah's permanent housing program tenants on matters of leasing and building rules

Develop and implement property management interview process of potential tenants and manage waiting list

Assist Property Management Director to ensure appropriate and timely rent calculation, collection, receipt, distribution and record keeping

 

Position Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's in Human Services or related field Licensure and/or Certification: Food Handling and Sanitation Certification preferred. First Aid/CPR preferred.

Job Experience: 2-3 years of program management experience; 3-5 years residential program experience; 1-2 years of supervisory experience; 2-3 years working with people with mental illness, substance abuse and/or both

Special Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness, mental illness and chemical dependency and MISA issues; proficiency in Microsoft Office software, effective oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, conflict management and crisis intervention skills; ability to communicate effectively with case management, staff, psychiatrist and other providers around mental health and medical issues; demonstrate clear and professional boundaries; act in a professional manner; Valid Illinois driver's license, proof of insurance and own vehicle preferred.
